An elderly woman was the victim of a terrifying robbery this morning in an alleyway near Yatesbury Avenue in Castle Vale.
The incident happened at around 8.30am, when a robber snatched a chain from around her neck.
Several police cars, and police officers with dogs attended the scene. No one has been arrested.
Police say that the woman is unhurt. They have not yet released details of any suspects, but have urged witnesses to call them on 101.
