Forty-seven cannabis plants were seized by police from drugs raids on two homes in Erdington yesterday.
Thirty-nine mature plants and a large quantity of cannabis were found at a home in Short Heath Road during an early morning raid. The plants were in the process of drying out, prior to distribution. A 52 year-old man was arrested and later released on police bail.
A further eight plants were found at a home in Welland Road, where a 32 year-old man was arrested for the cultivation of cannabis. He later received a caution.
